In August 2026, Hoku touched at least $2,311 in revenue: $633 collected through its own card links, $1,090 rung up at your counter minutes after a Hoku call, and $588 ordered online right after talking to Hoku. Along the way it answered 644 real calls, screened out 324 robocalls, and handled roughly 8.0 hours of phone time for you. Every one of those orders started as a call Hoku answered - the traced numbers are a floor, and section 01 shows how we counted.

Assisted Orders

Where Hoku's phone orders actually land

Every order on this page started as a call Hoku answered. Since the pay-in-store option was added on July 10, most callers order with Hoku's help and then pay at the counter or finish online, so their orders land in your Square, not in Hoku's card-link numbers. We traced the ones we can prove by matching each caller's phone number to the Square ticket, minutes apart, same customer.

These are floors, not totals. A traced order requires your team to have typed the caller's phone number into the ticket, which happened on only 23 of 1,674 counter pickup tickets this month. So the more orders finish at the counter, the more this floor undercounts what Hoku really drove. The real assisted number is higher. The fix we have scoped: Hoku files the ticket itself before it hands the call over, so every phone order is counted automatically.

Collected reflects Square-confirmed payments (card links completed plus counter payments), net of refunds. The gap to menu value is mostly payment links that were sent but not finished by the customer, an opportunity to lift completion.

Pastele Stew led the month at 10 ordered, followed by Hamburger Steak and Laulau Plate. What callers order through Hoku is a clean read on demand, useful signal for prep and specials planning. Smoked meat sold out on August 18. Hoku stopped offering it the same day and picked it back up on August 23 once it was restocked.

Hoku hands off to your team when a caller needs something beyond ordering. 435 calls (67.5%) were routed to a person this month. 39 of the 40 technical errors came on August 13, when a voice-provider limit on our side cut calls short for most of the day. Tasha flagged it, service was restored that night on a larger plan, and monitoring now alerts within minutes if it recurs.

Month over month: Hoku answered 644 real calls (655 in July) and captured 20 orders through its card links (40 in July). Three things shaped August. Kahului was closed August 9 to 11 and Hoku, not knowing, kept answering; the one order it took on those days was refunded in full and is netted out of every figure here. On August 13 a voice-provider limit on our side cut 39 calls short for most of the day, fixed that night. And with pay-in-store now the default, 435 calls (67.5%, up from 379) were handed to your team, so section 01 is where most of Hoku's orders now land.

What's working
  • 644 real calls answered on the first ring, plus 324 robocalls screened out automatically.
  • 20 orders captured worth $1,530 in menu value, avg $76 per order.
  • 77.6% of callers reached the ordering step, strong top-of-funnel engagement.
Opportunities next month
  • Lift payment-link completion: 41.4% of ordered value was collected: a nudge or SMS reminder could close more.
  • Staff the peaks: calls clustered at 12p, 11a and 6p HST, and Thursday was the busiest day of the week.
  • Review the 67.5% handoff rate together to see which questions Hoku could handle end-to-end.

Reply coverage: not measurable yet

Google exposes review replies only through an API tier that has to be granted per business. That request was filed on 7 August (case 9-5695000041864) and is still with Google. Until it is approved we can see how many reviews you have and what they average, but not which ones carry a reply, so no reply rate is shown here rather than a misleading zero.
